“If Greece is destroyed completely, an olive tree, a vine, and a boat will remain. That is enough to rebuild her from the beginning.”
– Odysseus Elytis
As fires swallow homes, lands, and animals; as families flee their homes in fear and despair; the Greece we knew to be the dream voyage for so many, is now nothing short of an apocalyptic mural of an earth engulfed in flames and turmoil. While the fires still rage, we are jumping into an immediate call of action to begin contemplating its revival.
Collaborate with local organizations, gather the overall damage reports, and determine where, what kind, and the amount of greenery (more-so fruit bearing trees) we would be able to plant and replenish the earth.
By planting foliage, we hope to re-establish an imperative source of food, air-quality, and beauty that was threatened by the devastating fires that swallowed Greece.
